The most beautiful thing in the world is grit.
Not grit like grinding your teeth, getting ready for a fight and taking a punch as it comes.
Not grit like going off to war, although that is very scary too.
This is grit that wakes up every day, travels an hour to get to a job it hates to put food on the table and make sure that the family is comfortable.
This is grit that has had enough and walks out the door on a bad relationship, heart bruised, belief battered, and still finds the courage to love again.
This is grit that battles the demons in its head to chase the constellation in its heart because it cannot resist answering the call that’s coming from within.
This is grit that sleeps well even when it feels like the world has ended today because the sun will rise tomorrow, nonetheless.
There are few things as beautiful as human grit. It is the wildfire that only burns the ones who are ready to be forged by fire.
